Voices of Courage:
Students Against Antisemitism and All Forms Of Hate
The Chesed (kindness) Student Digital Media Contest empowers School District of Palm Beach County middle and high school students to use their creativity and voices to stand against antisemitism, discrimination, and hatred in all its forms.
Drawing inspiration from real events and experiences during the Holocaust, students will create original social media content that connects lessons from the past to the world today. Students are encouraged to explore examples of courage, compassion, and individuals who chose to stand up for others, including the Righteous Among the Nations.
Through creative and engaging social media content, students can help inspire others to recognize hatred, challenge discrimination, and choose courage, acceptance, and respect.

Choose a true historical account of Chesed (kindness and compassion) from the Holocaust.
-
Examples: rescuers, hidden children, or small acts of courage that showed humanity during dark times.
-
Reflect on the lesson: Using the sources below: What can these courageous acts of kindness teach your generation about standing up against antisemitism, bullying, discrimination or any form of hate?
Step 2: Create Your Message
-
Turn that lesson into a modern message of kindness, acceptance, and respect.
-
Think about how it connects to your peers’ lives — school, friendships, online spaces.
-
Focus on influencing attitudes and behaviors to promote empathy.
