The Children of Willesden Lane

inSIGHT was pleased to bring to its community of supporters and the public, a special evening performance of The Children of Willesden Lane, a heart-moving, musical performance by concert pianist Mona Golabek. In this one-woman show/concert, Ms. Golabek tells the story of her mother, Lisa Jura, who as young teenager was sent to London on the Kindertransport after Kristallnacht. Ms. Golabek recounts her mother’s experiences as a young musical prodigy during WWII as told to her throughout her growing up.
Ms. Golabek wrote a novel of the same name and the concert was developed after. The performances were held February 21, 2018 at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. Milton Maltz generously donated the use of his theatre to benefit inSIGHT. Copies of Ms. Golobek’s novel of the same name, will be available for sale in our “Shop” very soon.
