Legacy of Impact

Legacy of Impact: Honoring the Past, Empowering the Future is a special event to celebrate 3 generations— Holocaust Survivors, Holocaust educators, and students.
inSIGHT Through Education hosted nearly 300 attendees—representing 12 Palm Beach County schools—at a powerful, standing-room-only event that honored Holocaust Survivors, dedicated educators, and the first-ever Goldsmith Student Scholars of the Holocaust. The room was filled with generations united by memory, learning, and the shared commitment to never forget.
Students sat beside Survivors and teachers, forming unforgettable connections and gaining personal insight into history that can’t be taught in textbooks. A moving Yom HaShoah candle-lighting ceremony brought the community together in solemn remembrance. A highlight was the Don Estridge Middle School Thespian Group’s powerful performance of I Never Saw Another Butterfly, which left the audience deeply moved.
“My child and I left changed,” said one parent. “The curriculum they learned brought history to life, and being part of this event made the values of kindness, acceptance, and respect feel deeply personal and lasting. We are grateful to inSIGHT Through Education.”
Julie Gates received the Naftaly Award for Excellence in Holocaust Education, and Randi Posner, inSIGHT Education Liaison, was honored with the Salton Spirit of Service Award for her unwavering commitment to Holocaust education.
Chaired by Betsy Joseph and Carole Newman, Legacy of Impact was a call to action to preserve memory and carry forward the values of kindness, acceptance, and respect to future generations.
Special thanks to the School District of Palm Beach County School Board, Kimberly Coombs, and Bradd Weinberg for their continued partnership.
Together, we honor history and empower the future.
