Administrator DC Field Study

The Administrator DC Field Study is a three-day immersive program that brings Palm Beach County principals and school leaders to the nation’s capital for an unparalleled professional learning experience.

Participants visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Capital Jewish Museum, where they confront history through artifacts, testimony, and lived experiences. In the presence of Holocaust Survivors, they hear firsthand accounts of survival, resilience, and loss—transforming abstract lessons into urgent calls for action.

The program challenges school leaders to grapple with difficult truths: how hatred takes root, how propaganda spreads, and how silence enables injustice. By stepping into spaces marked by genocide, slavery, and segregation, participants connect the past to the present, recognizing the warning signs of intolerance in our own time.

More than a study of history, the Field Study equips principals with the insight to return to their schools as catalysts for change. They come back determined to cultivate cultures of empathy, respect, and moral courage—ensuring that students do not just learn history, but apply its lessons to shape a more just and compassionate future.
