Professional Development
JFR Alfred Lerner Fellowship Program

The JFR Alfred Lerner Fellowship Program is a distinguished professional development opportunity that deepens educators’ knowledge of Holocaust history and the legacy of the Righteous Among the Nations—those who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Named in honor of Alfred Lerner, a philanthropist and business leader dedicated to education and civic responsibility, the fellowship brings together teachers for intensive Summer and Winter Institutes led by leading Holocaust scholars.
Upon completion, participants are recognized as Alfred Lerner Fellows, joining a national network of educators committed to bringing rigorous Holocaust education, moral courage, and compassion into their classrooms and communities. The fellowship’s impact extends far beyond its participants, shaping students’ understanding and fostering a culture of remembrance and responsibility.
