Acclaimed American journalist and podcaster, Mark Oppenheimer, reframes the narrative about the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting -- focusing on the community's resilience.

In the aftermath of October 7th, Mark will embark on a thought-provoking

discussion of modern antisemitism.

Mark Oppenheimer, a seasoned American religion journalist for 25 years with a Ph.D. from Yale, has taught

at institutions like Stanford, Wesleyan, and NYU. Formerly the founding director of the Yale Journalism Initiative

for 15 years, Oppenheimer is recognized for his column on religion for The New York Times from 2010 to 2016.

His writings extend to various publications, including The New Yorker,The Nation, GQ, and Slate.

Oppenheimer is the creator and host of Unorthodox, a widely listened-to podcast on Jewish life.

He recently led the podcast Gatecrashers, examining the history of Jews and antisemitism at Ivy League schools.

Author of five books, including The Newish Jewish Encyclopedia, his latest work is

"Squirrel Hill: The Tree of Life Synagogue Shooting and the Soul of a Neighborhood."
